The standard for countertops, cabinet faces, and commercial interiors. Durable, scratch-resistant, and available in hundreds of colors and finishes, including woodgrains, stone looks, and solids. If you're building or fabricating at volume, this is your go-to.
Thinner and more flexible than standard HPL. The right choice for cabinet interiors, wall panels, and door faces where you need the look without the weight or cost of full HPL.
For projects that need a seamless, repairable countertop with integrated sinks or coved backsplashes. Non-porous and easy to maintain. A strong spec for kitchens, baths, and commercial spaces.
The edge detail product. Color runs all the way through the sheet, so cuts and routed edges stay clean with no dark line. Ideal for cabinetry, shelving, and display work where finish quality shows.
Laminate gets underestimated. But for rental properties, spec homes, commercial interiors, and high-volume builds, Formica® HPL consistently delivers durable, good-looking, and significantly more affordable than stone or solid surface. Once you spec it on the right project, it tends to become a go-to.
Formica® offers hundreds of colors, patterns, and finishes, from woodgrains and stone looks to solids and textures. Browse the full collection online or request samples through ADCO and we’ll get them out to you.

High pressure laminate is a durable surface material made by bonding multiple layers of kraft paper under extreme heat and pressure. The result is a hard, non-porous sheet that resists scratches, moisture, and daily wear. Formica® is the most recognized brand of HPL and has been the industry standard for decades.
Formica is one of several HPL manufacturers (Wilsonart and Pionite are others), but it’s the most widely specified brand in the industry. ADCO is a stocking Formica® distributor, which means we carry Formica® products on the shelf and can turn around orders quickly without waiting on special shipments.
We stock Formica® sheet laminate (HPL), vertical grade laminate, Everform® Solid Surface, and ColorCore®2. For a full list of Formica® product lines, including commercial and specialty surfaces, visit our Architects and Designers page.

Standard HPL is thicker and designed for horizontal surfaces like countertops and tabletops, where durability and impact resistance matter most. Vertical grade laminate is thinner and more flexible, intended for cabinet interiors, wall panels, and door faces. Both are available in the same Formica® colors and finishes.
With normal use and basic care, Formica® HPL surfaces can last 10 to 20 years or more. Durability depends on the application and fabrication. Horizontal surfaces in high-traffic environments will see more wear than vertical applications. It’s one of the reasons laminate remains a practical choice for rental properties and commercial interiors.
