American Distributing Company is a locally owned countertop fabrication shop specializing in laminate and solid surface countertops. We take pride in delivering quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking Countertop Fabricator / Shop Assistant to join our growing team.
Position Summary
This hands-on position supports the fabrication, assembly, packaging, and handling of custom countertop products in our shop. The ideal candidate enjoys working with tools, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to learn fabrication techniques in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of laminate and solid surface countertops
- Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Prepare, package, and stage finished products for delivery
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with inventory management and material handling
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Support team members with various shop and production tasks
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Construction experience
- Assembly experience
- Mechanical aptitude and basic tool knowledge
- Forklift experience or ability to learn
- Packaging and material-handling experience
- Ability to lift and move materials safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $18.00 per hour + DOE
